In the "CIA HQ" mission, Sam Fisher learns that a targetted character is in the "Information Retrieval" department. This is a probable reference to the fictional department the main character from the movie "Brazil" had worked in.


Characters engage in PlayStation dialog while visiting the pregnant sister. They had talked about a game in the Splinter Cell series.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake EaterEdit

In the video game "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater", there is a secondary game mode called "Snake vs. Monkey" that players can choose. During the opening conversation Snake makes a reference of a "Sam", he had been referring to Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series.

The OfficeEdit

In the second season's eleventh episode of the American version of The Office, "Booze Cruise", Micheal Scott was explaining to his workers how the work enviroment was like the movie Titanic. Jim Halpert pretended he didn't know what movie Michael was talking about and Pam Beesly said, "Are you sure your not thinking of The Hunt for Red October?"
