Ghost teams are equipped with a variety of weaponry, ranging from the 6.8x43 millimeter SCARA1 (Special Combat Assaualt Rifle) to the M120 .50 caliber anti-material rifle. They are also equipped with active camouflage in addition to their Army Combat Uniforms and body armor. Some Ghosts are also seen equipped with the M9 assault rifle, the sucessor to the famous XM8, and it is expected that they are allowed to utilize the entirety of the United States arsenal, due to their nature as special forces.
Ghost teams are capable of utilizing active camouflage to move undetected around the battlefield, giving them a strategic advantage over many foes. They are also capable of deploying anywhere on the battlefield, allowing them to strike the enemy from behind or lay effective ambushes. Ghost teams may be outfitted with an additional designated marksman attached to each squad of a platoon, giving them the ability to snipe enemy targets at long range and bypass shields.
Ghost platoons are best when used against enemy infantry. A Ghost unit can storm buildings, destroying any enemy infantry inside them, and are extremely effective against enemy engineers, often cutting shielded engineers down before they can ever make it to cover. When placed behind cover, a Ghost unit can outgun and destroy an enemy APC unit with no casualties, and severely damage gunship teams. However, against tanks, a Ghost unit will almost always be destroyed, regardless of whether they are behind cover or not.
